DESCRIPTION The Ferndale Recreation Department is recruiting for the position of Summer Day Camp Director to oversee the department's state licensed summer day camp program for children ages 5-12. DUTIES The Day Camp Director is responsible for all aspects of the development, planning and implementation of the summer day camp program for children ages 5-12. The Director is also responsible for training and day to day supervision of camp counselors; ensures that staff members comply with policies and procedures and uses disciplinary actions when necessary; ensures compliance with state license regulations; maintains a safe and secure environment for all staff members and participants; organizes and maintains daily paperwork, timecards and incidents and performs other duties as assigned. REQUIREMENTS Candidates must be self-motivated, energetic, dependable, creative, quick thinker and have a love for children. Candidates must be 21yrs of age or older, possess a valid CPR and 1st Aid certification, possess a valid driver's license, must have a min of eight weeks working in a day camp setting and a min of four weeks administrative background in a day camp or similar setting.Listing originally posted at http
